Sogie’s season for Oakland started on September 14, going 1-2 against Kansas City. He went 3-7, adding up to a .429 average. His role in 2010 is murky, as if Mark Ellis returns, it would be another year in AAA for Sogard, or a year on the MLB bench if he (highly unlikely) beats out Adam Rosales and Steve Tolleson for the utility player spot.

Justin posted a very solid minor league campaign. With AA Midland, a 2.29 ERA and a 0.91 WHIP. As a AAA Sacramento River Cat, a 1.37 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP. These stats combine into a 1.83 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP. When he was called up to the MLB on September 1, 2010, he was used the next day, making his MLB Debut against the New York Yankees. he finished out his 2010 campaign with a 4.50 ERA and a 2.75 WHIP.

I predict that his 2010 role in Oakland will be minimal, if not at all. James is a free agent after the year, and is not likely to be resigned.
